Marc Baldus

The Baldus group has a solid background in the methodological development of solid-state NMR to study biomolecular structure and dynamics in a non-crystalline environment. Such studies have been conducted in the context of membrane-embedded proteins including ion channels, histidine kinases or GPCRs. In the Baldus group, knowledge in the field of NMR is combined with membrane protein biochemistry and liposome reconstitution methods. For data analysis, the lab has a substantial expertise in quantum-chemical tools and molecular-dynamics based structure calculations.
